Tony Black - Put Your Dancin’ Shoes On

A bit of a mystery release here! Long-running Italian label Fulltime Production have been reissuing a lot of their early 80s catalogue lately, but we can find no original release for this one – and there are also several contemporary R&B/hip-hop producers working as Tony Black. ‘Put Your Dancin’ Shoes On’ could, therefore, have been put together last week, or nearly 40 years ago! We’d err towards the latter, but either way it’s a midpaced funk groover with a lounge-y feel that gets looped up and teased out by M. Berardi, given a stuttery, jazzy twist by Les Inferno and then dragged onto the disco floor by Musta.
