DJ Jan & Santini & Quatretemps - Hangoroma

DJ Jan reconnects with Santini & Quatretemps with the fantastic 'Hangoroma' which follows their last outing on Bonzai Records,'Trancelogic'. Jan started to DJ in 1988 and became the resident at Illusion in 1993. The 90's brought much success with releases on Dance Opera as part of the Illusion team and in the 2000's he impressed with tracks such as X-Santos. A powerhouse on the European scene with a beefy back catalogue. Legendary Bonzai duo (Frederico) Santini and (Pascal) Quatretemps remain locked in a creative groove in 2023 on both the production and DJ front. These guys have been responsible for some of the biggest hits from Bonzai's extensive back catalogue, undertaking various job roles to ensure the music was fresh and pumping.

Opening the release we have the sublime progressive trance vibes of Original Mix which takes on a magical journey through beautiful melodic landscapes and beyond. Tight beats and rhythmic percussions lay the foundation for a smooth, infectious bassline that moves effortlessly in the groove. The bass is complimented with soaring synths that etch out those wonderful melodies, keeping us locked in for the duration. The on-fire Anonymize returns to Bonzai Records on remix, churning out one of his chest pounding groovers. On the remix here, Jesse treats us to a superbly constructed slice of contemporary techno. Heavy duty kicks lead the way, offset by sharp hats and a powerfully deep and subby rolling bassline. The synth work is superb, adding a techy rave element to the mix which will definitely set the floors alight. Tranceplant joins the Bonzai ranks with an explosive remix which adds an extra layer of techy trance to the release. A remix that continuously spirals upwards towards the stratosphere; we're treated to some fine synth work in the opening bars. The main break throws up a classic synth vox that gets the nostalgia juices flowing and raises the hairs on your neck. A massive effort that will not disappoint.
