Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa revisit their acclaimed OceanLab alias with a progressive rework of their 20 year old vocal trance classic, ‘Satellite’. The original was released as the group’s fourth single in 2004, and features the iconic vocals and compelling lyricism of British singer-songwriter, Justine Suissa. OceanLab are a British trance group formed by Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa in 2001. The project quickly claimed a European dance chart number one in its first year, reaching various European singles charts. Their 2004 track, ‘Satellite’, was no exception, peaking at number 19 in the UK singles chart in May 2004 and remaining there for a month. The track would go on to become a cult classic, sung along to by fans at virtually every Above & Beyond gig. Almost twenty years on from its original release, Above & Beyond deliver a progressive mix of ‘Satellite’. More suited to the slower tempo of their live sets in 2023, the track builds with rising synths towards Justine’s iconic chorus. They debuted their remix last year, at their Group Therapy 500 celebration to a sold-out 22,000 person crowd at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
This is the first single from the forthcoming ‘OceanLab: The Anthology’ project, which will celebrate the legacy of the iconic trance group through a series of new remixes, a digital compilation, and a limited edition vinyl box set product.
