Cortex Thrill return to Bonzai Records with the superb 'AI Metamorphosis' which follows their last outing – 'Dimensions' – that enjoyed great support in the Techno charts. This exciting new sound from CT blends elements of their Hard Trance and Techno roots from the early 90's with polished Tech grooves using modern production techniques. Ever-evolving, the guys remain at the forefront of the scene, offering up quality original and remix works for our pleasure. Always great to see them here and we hope to be hearing more in the future. The Original Mix opens the release and takes us into a full-on techno ride right from the off. Chugging basses and powerful drums combine with energetic synths that take us to the break where supercharged gated riffs and squelchy 303 lines take us to the next level. Top-notch, not to be missed. Belgian rave meister Anonymize is back with another blistering remix which follows his eagerly awaited 'Somebody Scream! EP'. A bona fide upstart in the scene, this guy continues to make waves with his brand of upfront festival tunes and he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. On the remix here, expect to be blown away with heavy hitting kicks, sharp claps and rolling snares. Delicate melodies are interspersed with classic style vox that create the backbone of the track. Build-ups and massive drops ensure this one will definitely get plenty of time blasting through the speakers. One half of Cortex Thrill, Robert Grizilo, steps out of duo mode and into solo remixer mode to deliver a stunning interpretation of 'AI Metamorphosis'. Here, Robert takes us deeper into the groove with punchy drums, rhythmic percussions and gritty offset basses leading the way. The main hook becomes infectious as highly infectious 303 lines bring the acid. Sweeping synths and phased FX come through on the break before the scathing synths take over to deliver a solid dancefloor mover. 'AI Stasis (Neural Entity)' concludes the release, keeping the tough edged techno theme alive. Thumping kick drums are joined by spritely percussions and a cool spoken vocal before subby basses rise up. The break reveals trippy synth riffs that carry a distinct retro vibe that takes us to the climax and into full-on mode once more. A wonderfully crafted slice will please the rave crowd, no doubt.
