St German’s ‘Alabama Blues’ is a stone-cold classic that helped push deep house to new musical heights, and that was given the definitive dancefloor makeover from Todd Edwards 25 years ago. We definitely don’t need a discofied remix of it now… you would think, wouldn’t you? But oh look, here comes Spanish nu-disco stalwart Sauco to prove us all wrong, because ‘Uplifting Blues’ is absolutely, 100 per cent irresistible! It comes accompanied by ‘World Funk’, which is a sprightly, uptempo jazz-funk workout in its Original form, before being given a pounding, housed-up remix courtesy of The Stoned.
