It's been a whirlwind of a year for Zuccasam with releases on a number of well respected labels. We now welcome Zuccasam to join the ever-growing Music To Die For tribe with an impressive four tracker 'Getting Late EP' which is certainly no let up in Zuccasam's exponential rise to the top with many already declaring it his best release to date and with the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, joseph Capriati, Braxton, Nick Warren and Alex Neri jumping onboard with Zuccasam's powerful sound. Opening with title track 'Getting Late'; a rubbery bass with singing percussions ramp up the energy from the get go. Stuttered vocals adlibs and a spiky low end stab provide the earworm hooks as this one powers all the way to dawn. Next up, 'Overloaded' keeps it deep and rhythmic. Clever bass and melodic interconnections give a favourable, nostalgic vibe while remaining completely contemporary. Deep satisfying kicks open 'Sonic Groove'. Building a percussive backbone and energetic bassline, it's not long before the track transforms into a huge, stadium-shaking anthem. Indeed, the main break represents everything we love about this style of music. Finally, 'This is Real' bookends a marvellous introduction to the Zuccasam sound. Subtly tribal and devastatingly hypnotic, the groove is untenable when the arps hit and the track takes on a very satisfying transcendence.
