Keg Fool Venz - Carnival

It’s been a short while since we last took in a full length album project from a UK bassline project, so a certain amount of hat-tipping has to be directed towards the ever-ready Off Me Nut crew for bringing this one together. Keg Fool Venz is known for his classic, niche influenced style of bassline production, has pulled together a batch of 12 rave-ready chompers, exploring the full depth of that OG sound. From the high tempo LFO madness of ‘Lost In U’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Love U’, to the more melodic infused wizardry of ‘Up Down’ and ‘Move On’, it’s a project full of original party starters. The other main point of note is the quality of the two lead collaborations, with ‘Smile’ alongside James Burton working as a masterclass in niche production, alongside sweet vocal melodies of Gina on ‘Need Someone’.
