Sarmale by Transylvanian native-living-in-Romania DJ Micha Mendel (aka Men-D) was originally released in 2019. This expanded for Bogdan Albon version was produced and named in the memory of a dear friend of Micha. who passed away much too young. Says Micha: Bogdan was obsessed with my track Sarmale. During the Corona pandemic, he lived with us at the Mendel Collective Cabin in the mountains of Romania for half a year. That period made Bogdan Albon my brother. He was a beautiful and naive soul who loved raving more than anything in the world, but not like most people do; for him, it was mystical, a pure thing. Brother Albon had to leave us much sooner than expected. I miss him a lot and believe that he was too kind, too empathetic and too good for this world. So, this is his personal version of the track. Brother Albon, since you left, Sarmale is yours. This expanded, percussion-heavy version of Sarmale is a proper heads-down epic. From the cinematic intro to the monster payoff the huge hook raises its face to the sun several times with plenty of twists and turns, driving percussive passages and thrusting builds.[9:39] 01.
