The Fever AM team have delivered a wicked selection here as ‘In Clusters’ gives us five extremely creative originals. The beauty of this project right from the off is it’s variation and unpredictability. Kicking off with the post-grime style drum arrangements and industrial rhythms of Bone Head’s ‘Sortie’, before Halber Ball lets loose a ball of electronic power within the tripletted drum smacks and glitchy melodies of ‘Rift 3’. Next, the stuttered breaksy slices and tweaking atmospheric pressures of ‘Archangelic Collapse’ give us a fantastic taste of Alicia’s style, before Ismael’s sub-heavy designs are let loose in ‘Knee Jerks’. Finally, we dive head first into some more expert percussive showcasing with Ayesha’s ‘Fractals’, giving us the highlight of the whole project with some intricate techno design.
