LUXXURYs new EP summarizes his new sound: simpler, electronic-er, but as disco as always. Instrumental bangers like I Want U and Say Goodbye to These share the addictive 80s synthpop sensibilities of Depeche Mode, New Order and Pet Shop Boys, and provide the perfect soundtrack for a late night drive; while Strangely Familiar is a a 130 BPM dance floor destroyer with pummeling 16th note synths and driving Roland 606 beats. If the song seems strangely familiar, thats because its a hyper-caffeinated sibling of Perfect Forever, with whom it shares some vocals but completely reimagined music. The EP was inspired by original disco masters Giorgio Moroder and his French counterpart Cerrone, as well as the whimsy of Todd Terje and the darkwave touches of Detroit synthpop duo Adult. Roll down the windows and feel the night breeze as you drive into an uncertain future.
