Born out of Madlochs re-discovered passion for cassettes, a love that began in the early 90s, Tape From The Dub marks the first ever physical release for Crossfade Sounds. Established in 2012, the Sound Avenue affiliate has become a respected platform for the deeper realms of electronica, house and techno, often focusing on the dubbier spectrums of these genres. Now celebrated for their unwavering commitment to the style, Crossfade Sounds unveils their first cassette release, a project which is the culmination of a careful selection process which spanned the better part of a year. Featuring a cohesive blend of established artists and up and coming talents, the collection is an international affair, showcasing music from Belgium, Germany, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States. Reinforcing the labels pledge to dub sonics, each track was given a stellar analog master by Subnode, who alongside frequent studio partner and Crossfade Sounds label boss Madloch, also contributed to the collection. Featured on the release (in alphabetical order) are: Angel Lebailly, Anton Lanski, Asphalt Layer, DP-6, Emmasoul, Inzajeano, Madloch, Marek Bartůněk, Psycho Panther, Rheinkalk, Rif Erous, Sir Rizio, Sonic Buckwit, Subnode, Toishy Koshimi, Victor__Lundberg, and Wade Watts. This project marks the inception of an exciting new chapter for Crossfade Sounds, one with subsequent cassette releases and other physical formats on the horizon.
