Kimber - Random Steps

Next up from the forward thinking sounds of Sapyens, we see them welcome the wonderful musical mind of Kimber, who unleashes a display of brain-warming production wizardry with ‘Random Steps’, a seven-track exploration of electronic sound design in its purest forms. The introduction of ‘Mental Oriental’ is a perfect example of this, with engulfing warm sub tones flooding the mix, topped with reverberated melodic pressure and popping percussion throughout. The gunner-like bass probes of ‘Random Step’ and scattered rhythmic bliss of ‘State Of Kenshiro’ then follow, both adding to the incredible depth of the project as a whole before the dissonant chord progressions and organic sounding drum designs of ‘Friendly Fire’ take things to a whole new level.
