S.P.L Project proudly announces the release of Cosmic Church 2000, an unreleased gem from the early days of Israels Goa psytrance scene in 2000. Originally slated for release under Phonokol Records, this album was a collaboration with support from Guy Zukrel of MFG (Messages From God), featuring masterful engineering by Astral Projections Lior Perlmutter. Rediscovered 25 years later on its original CD, this vintage relic has been revived with enhanced mastering using state-of-the-art modern studio equipment. Timelapse Records is thrilled to present Cosmic Church 2000 on Goa Day, June 4, 2025, celebrating the early foundations and enduring legacy of S.P.L Project. Born in the early 2000s in Israel, the holy land of Goa trance, S.P.L Project is the vision of Evgeni Wolf. During a time when underground beach parties, forest raves, and desert gatherings pulsed every weekend, Evgeni was captivated by the magic of psychedelic sounds, launching his journey as a DJ and producer. In 2001, he signed contracts with Mowgli Records for Cosmic Church and Phonokol Records for two singles. Though his move to Canada paused these releases, his tracks resonated in the sets of DJs like Antix (Sweden) and Moran Snizer (Israel). Arriving in Canada in 2002, Evgeni quickly established himself, performing at festivals like Upizden, Samadhi Festival in Quebec, and Free Life Festival, sharing stages with icons like Jaia, Tegma, Itai Taiko, and Lupus in Fabula. The name S.P.L, standing for Sound Pressure Levels, embodies his knack for crafting immersive sonic experiences. With formal training in sound design and post-production, Evgeni masterfully blends software and hardware, evolving his sound from old-school Goa trance with oriental influences to high-energy, psychedelic peak-time tracks, and now a pumping, progressive style with a distinctive psychedelic edge. 2020 was a prolific year for S.P.L Project, with releases on top labels like Timelapse, Speed Sound Rec, Geomagnetic Rec, Goa Rec, Psyworld and Power House Rec.
