Cignol - Darya Message

Following recent releases by DeFeKT and Ben Pest, the long-running Orson label has enticed the prolific Cignol to deliver its latest EP. Lovers of deep, dreamy electro will already be familiar with this talented artist through releases on Lunar Disko, Furthur Electronix and Distant Worlds. If that style is up your street, there’s plenty to love here: both the title track and “Journey to Auriga” resound to evocative synths and shimmering pads that swirl over brittle electro 808s. “Resist” sees Cignol conjure up wave upon wave of acid over a tougher rhythm, while label owner Transparent Sound’s take on “Darya Message” makes for a wild 303 journey.
