French producer Bruit Fantôme is known since 2012 for some beautiful records between sytnhwave and electronica released on Alpage Records. He’s also known under his monikers Musique d’Ambiance and Transistor Galaxii. That new EP on Tripalium Records firstly existed as a title and an idea: “My next album will be called “Robert Smith” and it will be recorded and listened to on tape”. However it was not about The Cure’s coldwave, nor “Futur Noir” or “Vestiges” synthwave, the previous Bruit Fantôme’s EP. There wasn’t, besides of that, any desire to produce an album in a specific style but simply let the track writing came as it was. The result is an EP with 7 dark electro tunes, somewhere between Drexciya, UR, Aphex Twin or Mariel Ito.
