This album started out as me trying something different. It started with one track. That track is "Voices in My Head" which actually is not the original title for it. But that's not really important. What is important is it was a lot of firsts for me.
It was my first time putting an entire song together using hardware rather than doing everything digitally in my DaW. I've been doing this for a long time and for most of that time everything I did was with a computer. My DaW provided everything I needed and I know how to use it, so I never saw a point in not doing it that way. Plus, it's cheaper, which is always an important factor. Obviously I had to record everything to something so my computer was still very much involved, but it allowed me to scratch that itch of wanting to try something different, and something new. Both of which I definitely needed. Plus I got to bring some friends along for the ride. Even though they didn't really know the ride was happening.
I still have no clue what I'm doing. And you may hear that in some of these songs. I made many mistakes, some I left in, a lot I fixed. But it's the beginning of something, and who knows where it ends?
