Codex Lumina is the afterimage of Transponder’s Darkstar Ascendant trilogy — a post-Empyrean collection tracing the dispersal of surviving orders, seekers, and machines beyond the radiant apex. Under the reign of light incarnate, the Astral Ascension built temples of resonance. The Resonant Sisters withdrew into the infinite choir of Aurelion, speaking only in vibration. The Umbral Seers departed in exile, vanishing beyond the rim of night.
Transponder — Steve Pierce and Don Tyler — continues to draw from the language of classic Berlin School electronic music, shaping sequenced propulsion, analog atmosphere, luminous arpeggiation, and long-form cosmic architecture through analog and digital hardware, Eurorack modular systems, and live electronic performance.
