In what has become the biggest broken record of all time, this album was originally slated for release on a label I couldn't have been more excited about, so many years ago I don't even remember exactly when. In the end, in the least surprising turn of events of all time, they flaked and ghosted me after nearly a year of empty promises. If I'm honest, that one really hurt. The lowest lows only come from falling from the highest highs. Thus it has remained in the archives, never heard by anyone, including myself, only representing a bitterness and anger I was never able to conquer and had no desire to stir alive yet again. I don't know why today is the day that disappeared. Or I learned to let it go. Or, more accurately, that I decided fuck that, fuck them, who cares, and why on earth did I let them rule my emotions. Much less for all these years.
Today, when I saw that title from long ago, it made more sense than ever. Because this journey through the archives - and all of this - is all about our strength. Our perseverance. And the fact we've never stopped. Because we've proven them wrong over and over. And shown... no matter how much they try... we are Unbreakable.
