Anyone who’s heard any of Hard Ton’s previous output (and he’s been around a while, so we’re guessing that’s most Juno shoppers!) will know there’s often a heavy 80s flava to his work. But seldom more so, perhaps, than on this latest offering, brought to you by Peter Invasion and Panthera Krause’s Leipzig-based Riotvan label, which suggests a musical youth over which the likes of Soft Cell and Depeche Mode exerted some considerable influence. Nothing wrong with paying tribute to your heroes, of course, but if you’re not a big fan of 80s styles then head for Jorkes’ remix, which has a slightly more contemporary feel.
