Following releases for KSR and Hayes, Quelza now steps up with a release on Mord. The sound, like his previous EPs, is expansive and all-encompassing; on "The Free Speech", that approach finds shape in the form of eerie vocals, while a combination of haunting synths and snappy break beats prevail on "Oliver". Meanwhile, "La Malsaine" sees him conjure up nocturnal, layered soundscapes to create a chilling industrial track. There are some fine DJ tool tracks also included on Les Malicieuses - in particular, the grimy groove and tough percussion of "Orbe" stand out - but the standout tracks include those where Quelza voyages into more epic territories, evident on the tranced out, broken beats of "Krant".
