Dan Corco - Spring Tales EP

Pierre Cocordan started his production career as Dan Corco 20 years ago with a string of Motor City inspired techno and electro releases, but in recent times he’s gravitated towards deep house. He’s in straight up celebratory house party mode on this celebratory Robsoul Recordings outing, offering up a quartet of cuts that mostly combine chunky, club-ready beats with samples from vintage disco, Italo and new wave tunes. He opens with some swinging, loose-limbed disco-house in the shape of ‘Lets Jamming Right'[sic], before delivering some far-sighted deep house/Motor City techno fusion via EP highlight ‘Spring Tales’. ‘Temptation’ is a muscular chugger that successfully tools-up a classic Italo-disco jam, while ‘The Way I Feel’ re-imagines a much-loved ’80s boogie classic as a Tiger & Woods style loop jam.
