Svetec - Rat Race

SveTec aka Adam Szvetek returns to his Mad Made label for this uncompromising EP. The title track is led by stomping kicks and features intense, trance-liked analogue riffs that draw on the hard techno sound of producers like Thomas Heckmann. Meanwhile, “Set Up” sees Szvetek opt for a more direct route, with a rolling groove and pounding bass drums underpinning searing, building acid lines and deft vocal samples. “Surprise Attack” sees this talented artist change direction once again; while not as fast as “Set Up”, its looped groove and succession of filtered drops and builds is sure to prove effective wherever it’s dropped.
