Northling - Fawkes

British six-piece collective Northling share the second single from their forthcoming EP ‘Tycho’ with ‘Fawkes’.
‘Fawkes’ was written in just one sitting, capturing delicate, raw emotion with lyrical themes of resilience and hardship. The band’s latest offering is a powerful slow burning orchestral composition, showcasing their live instrumentation alongside sweeping strings and brass arrangements paired with Joe’s brooding topline vocal.
Originating as an improvisational band in 2017, Northling’s distinctive blend of nu-jazz and indie electronica has quickly earned them recognition from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and BBC Introducing.
