Onova - Archives

Onova returns with a new EP called 'Archives'. The EP is a collection of 5 old and new tracks that until now has never seen the light of day. Starting of this EP we have a new track called 'Cloud Nine' which is the most recent production in this collection. The track is has that classic Onova uplifting sound to it with a big breakdown and a simple and memorable hook.

Next we have the track 'Luire' which is another uplifting track that has a little more edge and darkness to it. Lots of different soundscapes and big sounds makes up this track blended with euphoric melodies and background vocals.

Third on the track list we have 'Unknown Origin'. This track may not be the usual sound you hear from Onova. Its a perfect blend of psytrance elements, tech trance influences and topped of with a sprinkle of uplifting hard-trance. Here we are talking driving kick and basses, twisted background effects and glitchy backdrops. The track then transitions to a big breakdown filled with uplifting melodies and finish of with a climatic chrorus.

Then there is the track 'Nefarious'. 'Nefarious' is all about the groove, beats and drums. Old school techno-trance to put in one simple word. This track was actually produced all the way back in 2009 originally but have gotten a new refreshed master treatment on it and we think this is gem that should not be kept away from the world. As usual from Onova there is some really nice melodies embedded in here.

Last we have 'Skysurfer'. This is classic uplifting trance in its true form. Produced all the way back in 2007 this is a trip down memory lane. While it production wise may be outdated we think it still rocks. This one we left untreated to keep the original sound from back in the days. Produced in the same era as Onovas hit track Platitude we think this one should not stay unheard.
