There are compilation series that simply collect tracks — and then there are those that try to capture a moment, a movement and a state of mind. Pure Trance has always belonged to the latter category. Now, the next chapter is officially on the horizon: Solarstone & Orkidea – Pure Trance XI (Live in London).

The Pure Trance journey enters its next chapter — recorded live at fabric London

Following the milestone tenth edition, Solarstone now returns with a concept that feels both deeply rooted in the DNA of the series and refreshingly ambitious in its execution. Pure Trance XI is not just another carefully selected mix compilation. This time, the experience was captured live — with all the movement, tension, imperfections, crowd reactions and emotional build-up that only a real dancefloor can provide.
Recorded at fabric London, the new edition promises to translate the atmosphere of a long, immersive club night into a full-length listening journey. For a series that has always been about preserving the essence of trance, this feels like a natural evolution: less polished showcase, more living, breathing moment.

Solarstone & Orkidea: a full-circle Pure Trance reunion

The return of Orkidea as co-mixer gives this announcement even more emotional weight. Long-time followers of the Pure Trance movement will remember that Solarstone and Orkidea were already connected at the very beginning of the compilation series. Bringing Orkidea back for volume XI does not feel like a nostalgic gesture only — it feels like a deliberate closing of one circle and the opening of another.
Both artists represent a side of trance that values depth, melody, patience and atmosphere. Solarstone has spent more than a decade shaping the Pure Trance ethos into a counterweight to short-lived trends, while Orkidea’s career has always carried that same cinematic, emotionally intelligent approach to electronic music. Together, they are exactly the kind of pairing that makes sense for a “live in London” concept: two selectors who understand that trance works best when it is allowed to unfold.

More than a tracklist — a four-hour journey

The first revealed tracklist already points towards a wide-ranging and carefully paced journey. Across the mix, Pure Trance XI moves through progressive textures, deeper late-night moods, classic references, fresh exclusives and emotionally charged peak-time material.
Names such as Delerium, TasteXperience, Markus Schulz, Jonas Steur, Matti Laamanen, Young Parisians, Tekara, Susie Ledge, Bryan Kearney, and of course Solarstone and Orkidea themselves underline the broad musical architecture behind the release.
Particularly exciting is the presence of both new and familiar Solarstone & Orkidea material, including “Slowmotion VII” and an Allende Remix of the original “Slowmotion”. There is also room for classic trance DNA, including Delerium – “Innocente [Falling In Love]” in the DJ Tiësto Remix, and the finale with Orkidea – “Beautiful (Bryan Kearney Rework)” already sounds like the kind of closing moment that could become a highlight for long-time Pure Trance fans.

Live is live

Pure Trance has always stood for quality control, emotional selection and a clearly defined musical philosophy. But with Pure Trance XI, Solarstone appears to be pushing the series closer to the spirit of legendary live-mix compilations — the kind of albums that did not just present music, but documented a night.

Anjunabeats Volume 17 mixed by Above & Beyond is out on June 05th, 2026!

There are few compilation series in electronic music that carry the same emotional weight, scene relevance and label-defining power as Anjunabeats Volume. Curated by Above & Beyond, the series has always been more than just a label showcase — it is a snapshot of where Anjunabeats stands, where the sound is heading, and which artists are shaping the next chapter of the label.
Now, the next chapter is officially on the horizon: Anjunabeats Volume 17 will be released on Friday, 5 June 2026.
According to the first announcement via the official Anjunabeats newsletter, the new edition will feature 35 tracks across two discs, with contributions from 30 artists and exclusive new music from Above & Beyond themselves. The compilation was curated both in the band’s London studio and while being out on the road, promising a broad and highly current perspective on the label’s present and future direction.
For long-time Anjunabeats followers, that alone is enough to raise anticipation levels. The Volume series has always been one of the strongest indicators of the label’s creative identity — blending established names, rising talents, emotional songwriting, progressive textures and peak-time trance energy into one carefully shaped journey. With Volume 17, Above & Beyond seem ready to open another window into the months ahead for Anjunabeats.
In the announcement, Jono, Paavo and Tony describe the compilation as an important step following the release of Bigger Than All Of Us. They explain that this next chapter is designed to celebrate the artists who make Anjunabeats such an exciting label — including long-standing family members as well as new faces representing its future. Musically, the concept already sounds highly promising: CD1 is said to draw from tribal and progressive house influences through to 90s trance euphoria, while CD2 captures the high-energy Anjunabeats sound built for festival moments around the world.
That description alone suggests a beautifully balanced journey: one side deeper, more progressive and perhaps more atmospheric; the other more euphoric, explosive and firmly designed for big stages. It is exactly this duality that has kept Anjunabeats relevant for more than two decades — the ability to connect club culture, festival energy and emotional storytelling without losing the label’s distinctive identity.
There is also a very special collector’s detail this time around. For the first time in the history of the Anjunabeats Volume series, the compilation will also be available on vinyl. The physical edition comes as an exclusive 12-track sampler, hand-picked by Above & Beyond, pressed on 2×12” green and black marble vinyl. In addition, the double-CD edition includes all 35 tracks and a printed booklet. Both formats are available for pre-order via the Anjuna Music Store.
The announcement is accompanied by artwork that immediately stands out: a green circuit-board inspired visual with the iconic Anjuna “A” at its centre. It feels both retro-futuristic and unmistakably Anjunabeats — a fitting visual identity for a compilation that appears to connect the label’s roots, its current creative momentum and its future direction.
Above & Beyond will also debut Anjunabeats Volume 17 live in London during an intimate pop-up event at a secret location on 28 May. The event is described as a rare chance to experience the compilation up close and personal with the band, with access tied to Silverworks Island ticket holders and a limited-capacity ticket lottery.
At this early stage, the full tracklist has not yet been revealed. But based on the first information, Anjunabeats Volume 17 already feels like one of the most important Anjunabeats releases of the year. With 35 tracks, 30 artists, exclusive Above & Beyond material, two distinct musical journeys and the first-ever vinyl edition in the series, this is shaping up to be much more than a standard compilation release.
For trance and progressive fans, Anjunabeats Volume 17 could become a defining soundtrack for the summer of 2026 — and a first glimpse into the next wave of Anjuna moments waiting to happen.

One of the most beloved mix-compilation series in dance music history enters a bold new chapter. In Search Of Sunrise returns this summer for its 21st edition—and for the first time, Markus Schulz takes the helm alone, steering the series into a new sonic frontier.
After two iconic eras shaped by Tiësto and Richard Durand, and following his own six co-curated editions, Markus Schulz now assumes full creative control of the legendary series. ISOS 21 is not just a continuation—it’s a reinvention.

A Trilogy of Emotion

For over two decades, In Search of Sunrise has been more than a series; it’s been a sanctuary for sonic wanderers, a space where emotion, beauty, and transcendence meet under one sky. Now, as the next chapter begins, Markus Schulz steps fully into the role of creative guide, evolving the series into something not just reflective, but visionary.

“The world has changed. So has the music. But the need to escape, to dream, and to feel—that remains,” Markus says. “And that’s what this next era of In Search of Sunrise is about: building a bridge from nostalgia into a future worth believing in.”

For the first time, In Search of Sunrise will roll out as three separate drops across the season, allowing each disc to breathe, resonate, and connect in its own time.
First up is “The Awakening”, arriving August 6, which draws from organic textures, deep progressive rhythms, melodic techno, ambient atmospheres, and emotionally rich, pensive tones. It’s the soundtrack to your late-night reflections and early morning revelations.
That will be followed by the emotionally euphoric mix “The Nirvana” on August 27th, and finally, “The Nocturnal Voyage”, a late-night techno-leaning finale, on September 17th. The full vinyl and CD experience will also be available on that day for collectors and deep listeners alike.
The journey begins August 6th with The Awakening, featuring music from London Grammar, Sasha, Deep Dish, Paul Oakenfold & Hernan Cattaneo, Korolova, Cosmic Gate, Estiva, PROFF, Jerome Isma-Ae, and two exclusives from Markus Schulz under his Dakota alias.

“The Awakening is about widening the lens; welcoming in legendary artists who somehow had never graced the series before: London Grammar, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Deep Dish. And at the same time, it’s about planting seeds. I want someone five years from now to say, ‘I first discovered them on ISOS 21.’ That’s how you carry a legacy into the future.” And the best way to do that is to reflect on authentic emotional resonance; something that touches the soul but doesn’t overexplain itself.

A Legacy Reimagined

To understand the significance of In Search Of Sunrise 21, one must look back to where it all began.
Launched in 1999, In Search Of Sunrise was conceived by Tiësto, who defined its early identity with lush, cinematic trance sets that embodied escapism and euphoria. His editions, especially the now-legendary ISOS 3 (Panama), set a gold standard in melodic storytelling.
Following Tiësto’s departure after ISOS 7, Richard Durand took the reins, guiding the series through the 2010s with his energetic vision, often inviting guest DJs to co-mix. And starting with ISOS 13, Markus Schulz joined the journey, co-curating a six-edition arc that blended his dark, progressive sensibilities with the ISOS spirit of sunrise dreaming.
Now, with ISOS 21, Markus steps into full authorship—ushering in what he calls “a bridge from nostalgia into a future worth believing in.”

The Future Starts Now

For over two decades, In Search Of Sunrise has been more than just a compilation. It’s a journey, a philosophy, a reflection of our deepest musical yearnings.

After a seven-year wait, trance icons Above & Beyond are back with their fifth studio album, Bigger Than All Of Us, set for release on July 18, 2025. The album marks not only a significant musical moment for Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness but also a celebration of their 25-year journey as one of the most beloved acts in electronic music.

A Journey of Reconnection

Since their breakthrough in the early 2000s, Above & Beyond have built a legacy on the principles of unity, love, and emotional depth in dance music. Their latest album embodies these ideals, as the trio explains:

“This album is us appreciating how amazing this thing we have is. The realization of how lucky we are that we get to be part of something like this for 25 years, and to have built a community that cares for each other in the way it does. It’s not about any of us individually. When we all work together to make something happen, something bigger happens.” – Above & Beyond

If their last studio album, Common Ground (2018), was about forging new connections, Bigger Than All Of Us is about reconnection—both with their fans and within their own creative partnership.

A Return to Their Roots

The first taste of the album arrives with Quicksand (Don’t Go), released on March 21. Featuring long-time collaborator and Grammy-nominated singer Zoë Johnston, the track is described as a return to Above & Beyond’s roots. Johnston, who has lent her ethereal vocals to classics like Good For Me and Love Is Not Enough, once again brings her signature emotional depth to the trio’s signature melodic soundscape.

In addition to the album, Above & Beyond’s label, Anjunabeats, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025. Above & Beyond – Tranquility Base Vol. 2

Above & Beyond’s latest single, “React,” sets a thrilling tone for their upcoming Tranquility Base Vol. 2 EP, promising fans a powerful follow-up to the first volume of the series. Under their renowned Anjunabeats label, the Grammy-nominated trio delivers an energetic, club-ready anthem highlighting the driving basslines and layered tempo changes that trance enthusiasts crave.
“React” debuted at the Radio 1 Dance show at London’s Drumsheds and has since swept through Above & Beyond’s live sets worldwide. Most recently, it electrified a crowd of 14,000 at Group Therapy 600 in Mexico City, proving it’s well on its way to becoming a signature track. With each beat, “React” reaffirms Above & Beyond’s place as trance trailblazers while offering fans a taste of what’s to come on Tranquility Base Vol. 2.
The Tranquility Base series is a nod to the trio’s cherished alias, under which they’ve created some of the genre’s most celebrated tracks, like “Surrender” and “Razorfish.” Volume 1 made a big splash last year, hitting #1 on Beatport’s Techno releases chart, and Volume 2 is shaping up to be equally impactful. In Search Of Sunrise 20 mixed by Solarstone plus 5 more Legends

The iconic trance mix-compilation series In Search of Sunrise (ISOS) celebrates its 20th edition with a special multi-artist release. This milestone album will feature six mixes from six different artists, with the first mix crafted by legendary trance artist Solarstone, set to be released on August 21st. The In Search of Sunrise series is more than just a collection of trance mixes; it is a cultural touchstone within the electronic music world. Launched in 1999 by Dutch DJ and producer Tiësto, the series quickly became synonymous with the uplifting and melodic trance sound of the early 2000s. Written over the two-plus years following the end of the pandemic and inspired by being back on dance floors, ‘Breathe In’ is the next step in the narrative that started with ‘Feel Again’. Whereas ‘Feel Again’ explored Armin van Buuren’s journey of re-establishing a connection with himself and the music he loves, ‘Breathe In’ shifts focus to the connection he has with his fans.
