Something between Stranger Things and Dawn FM by The Weeknd: that's what this new EP titled "Billy Summers" sounds like. Billy Summers is a fascinating recent novel by Stephen King that combines crime and noir themes, coming-of-age story and road trip.Billy, a former Marine sniper, is a serial killer who kills only really bad people, and he prepares to face his last assignment amidst a thousand vicissitudes, all the while writing a kind of diary of his life. Of course as I was reading I couldn't help but imagine a soundtrack, and it couldn't help but be synthwave. Each track tells five different aspects of the story, so mystery, wild escapes, love, remembrance, and why not, the beauty of the setting.
I hope the good Stephen King won't be offended if I've coated his story with an 80s patina; the beauty of novels is that you never know what suggestions they may trigger
