The sounds that formed 'Gray Havens' were recorded and shaped by me in Tamil Nadu, India. Most notably, the rather lo-fi recording of the sea was made at a beach near Auroville. The year was 2009. Some fourteen years later, I found myself looking towards that same coastline in the distance, but this time from the shores of Sri Lanka. The teardrop of India, part of the same landmass, connected via Ram Setu (Adam's Bridge), yet also set apart by the waves of the Indian Ocean.
