The long-running collaboration of Brock Van Wey (bvdub) and Zach Frizzell (Zake) may have yielded its latest title of Oblivion, but we're not oblivious. Both artists come to the album with decades of immersion in slow-moving, emo-weighted ambient; we can't tear ourselves away. But with no track previews yet, we can guarantee slow-moving melodic gravitas and darkened structures, sonic rime ices of the kinds already heard on drum & bass temporal LL (2023), though this is their full proper joint LP to date, with telluric, depository drone design eschewing the beats entirely.
